Host a Red Hat or Pink Hat
Silk Scarf Party
in the Seattle/Tacoma Area

picture Please e-mail us with potential dates and the number of attendees. There are two ways to go:

1) We supply everything except the refreshments (you get to do that!). The location we use is in the Des Moines/SeaTac area.
2) You supply the place (including tables and chairs), the refreshments, and we do the rest.

All supplies are included in the per person supply charge. Everyone will take home something they make. We will practice on a smaller piece of silk first before making the scarf. We can experiment and play with dyeing, painting, silk screening and rubber stamping on silk. We can customize the class to your group (e.g. scarves only, technique teaching, just for fun, bringing extra purple and red inks & dyes!).

Hostess gifts/drawings are awarded according to the number in attendance.

Supplies (silk scarves, dyes, paints, etc.) will be available for purchase at the end. Checks or cash are preferred. If a phone line is provided, we can also process Mastercard or Visa orders. Any supplies not in stock can be shipped.

Our calendar is filling up, so confirm early for your party. A minimum of two weeks from confirmation to the party is required. The instructor fee is payable in advance of the event with the classroom supplies charge (which will vary according to what your group wants) payable before the class starts. If you cancel (without rescheduling), you will forfeit the instructor fee. If you cancel at least 5 days before the event, the instructor fee may be applied to a future class. The classroom supplies charge (if paid in advance) is fully refundable if the class is cancelled by you 5 days or more before the event. Or it may also be applied to a future class.

The small print: Sometimes participants get pretty creative, so you may not hold us responsible for damage from ink, paint or other stains. However, we will bring lots of plastic and do our best to ensure this does not happen.

Your group will be responsible for clean-up, as well as putting away any tables, chairs, etc. This can be fun and usually works best if everyone cleans up their own work table/space.
